Tata Nano – should be electric

The Tata Nano seems perfect for an electric engine, and with a solar panel on the roof, it could start a mass-produced electric car revolution, not just in India but across the world. People would just need to get their buildings fitted out with a power outlet from which the car an be recharged overnight. [...]

I don’t think Americans will fit into it. Weight wise or ego wise. But it’s a good product for exporting to Africa and South America, maybe even eastern Europe. Besides, the safety standards aren’t very strict in those places.
Apparently in the U.S. the safety features would cost approx. $2000 alone(air bags etc.). In India [...]
